oxygen films corp

As CEO and Director of Development for Oxygen Films Corp, I have served the film industry as a producer and executive producer, during which time I developed many promotional websites and HTML email newsletter campaigns to pitch attractive A-List film projects to:
  • Key Executives from production companies like Playtone Productions, Class Five Films, Plan B Entertainment, Dune Entertainment, Lawrence Bender Productions, Cloud 8 Productions, Malpasa, etc;
  • A-List talent representatives from stellar agencies including CAA, William Morris, ICM, Anonymous Content, etc.;
  • Top-notch distribution groups including, Warner Brothers, Paramount, DreamWorks, Intandem Films, Red Granite Pictures; and
  • Investors, Hedge Funds and Financial Groups ranging in capital availability from $5M - $350M+
Over the past eight (8) years, my work experience in the film industry has employed my skills in:
  • screenwriting, script recruitment and creative development;
  • budget creation;
  • web presence development and maintenance;
  • social & new media savvy;
  • online marketing campaign development, execution and follow-up;
  • verbal and written communications excellence;
  • business plan and executive summary writing;
  • finance acquisition;
  • creative development;
  • establishment of and maintenance required for growth of a substantial contact list relevant to:
*A-List Feature films;
*International distribution and
*A-List talent representatives including
*managers;
*publicists;
*producers and
*talent agencies for A-List talent.

Oxygen Films has strong connections with reputable production companies from around the world including Vancouver, LA, New York, Florida, Chicago, London, Spain, Germany, the UK, the Netherlands, China and India, plus relationships with various industry intermediaries including A-List talent agents, literary agents, talent managers, distributors, financiers and private investors from the US and across the globe. And as such, has been involved in the developing and producing of ten feature-length film projects in various stages of development, production, pre- and post-production, film finance acquisition, distribution and marketing.

Currently Oxygen Films is taking on two new aspects of the creative/literary side of film production.

Firstly, we have opened a script publication division which oversees the development, publication and marketing of a new book series from Scripts In Print. This innovative new format of books allows readers and film enthusiasts alike to experience film and fictional stories in the format of full-length feature screenplays. Visit: www.scriptsinprint.com for more details.

Secondly, we are developing a roster of over 125 writers who have submitted feature-length screenplays to our company for consideration. This literary roster thus far will represent over 250 scripts of all genres, (three of which I wrote myself) In addition, we have begun the partnership process to join the forces of this roster with a successful Vancouver Talent Agency who represents over 150 actors.

film finance acquisition

From angel investor recruitment to full budget and P&A finance to distributor MGs, producing movies requires finance! I have developed a contact base of exceedingly reputable financiers and private investors who have taken strong committed interest in providing equity to our A-List films.

As executive producer, I have formed alliances with my investors primarily through creating and presenting packages which include:

1. Business Plans, Executive Summaries
2. Promotional Websites displaying Synopsis and Cast Vision
3. Budget and Budget Top Sheets
4. Production Cash Flow Schedules
5. Completion Bond Company LOIs, International Film Guarantors Inc
6. Distribution Deals and + Pre-Sale Estimates
7. Tax Credit Letters from relevant State/Province for production.
8. Tax Credit Buyer agreements

Samples of my work are available upon request; two examples are as follows:

111028 RTP business plan – contact me to view this document which will show you the business plan and executive summary for Road to Purgatory (sequel to Dreamworks Road to Perdition starring Tom Hanks), $40M raise.  [project details visit: RTP OneSheet and RTPsynopsis]

The business plan, my presentations, and on-going professional correspondence / communications resulted in talent attachments, commitment for full finance from a NY Hedge Fund group and distribution with InTandem Films (estimated MGs - $30M); also agreement for future partnership deals with the president of Red Granite Pictures, formerly the president of international sales for NuImage!

110606 about the fund – this document outlines information about the Hedge Fund I work with out of New York. My associate, the CFO of this fund, has provided LOI for full finance of our film slate with full budget of over $350M (see slate.oxygenfilms.ca).

My partner from the fund is now the CPA representing a Florida-based debt facility who is also committed to financing all film projects I bring to the table which have proven liquid 10% of project budget available. The above document is a sample that provides information on these financier's prestige, expertise, track record and reliability. Please contact me to see these documents.

A couple other projects I've worked on outside of Oxygen Film's slate the past couple years include

3. Mao/Nixon – China/American co-production, align Playtone Productions
4. Red Shadow – Canadian CGI
5. Consulting company launch assistant for Kerner Canada – subsidiary for Kerner Optical, branch of ILM, creator of Star Wars...(http://www.imdb.com/company/co0208143/)

client relations

Client Relations - Interactive Online Network Development

Consistent communications is the key to building relationships and on-going business connections. I have been building my business network contact list over the past several years and have established a great repertoire with over 1000 key executives and well over 5000 opt-in subscribers for various groups.

In order to maintain these relationships great products are implemented into my newsletters and/or email campaigns.

The past several years the focus primarily has been A-List feature film projects, wherein I have developed and promoted the A-List Stars, the Screenplays, Writers, Directors, Financiers, Distribution companies, producers and production companies. For an example of some correspondence please click: http://projects.oxygenfilms.ca. For more information visit: creative.hazelhoyle.com

Before film, my promotions had mostly been for individual clients, their companies' web presence and products, plus for my own company promotions including over 100 e-books, two hard-covers/and paper backs, promotional services, products and ESL.

For more details on the work I have done in this arena, please contact me at hhoyle@oxygenfilms.ca or call me at 1-778-908-6491.

ESL

ESL Student Related Endeavors
an yung ha sa yo...
Hello in Korean. Gam sa, ha me da; thank-you

Working as an ESL instructor just sort of happened by accident. I had left my last employer-based job to pursue my career as a writer, during which time my friend from Korea metioned she had a few students who desperately needed a tutor. Being a writer, it felt natural to accept this opportunity to make some friends from a foreign land and to earn a few extra bucks along the way.

What started out as a two-hour class helping my new students with their homework assignments, turned into me writing a 197-page text book titled: English: The Written Word, for beginners, intermediate and advanced students. The text book walked students through parts of the sentence, spelling, reading, essay writing and recognition assignments. The material I wrote and published was very popular and before I knew it, I was recruiting ESL students from Robson Street and popular ESL hang-out spots to come attend my five-week course.

Small groups started to form and I became a private teacher of the written language and conversation tutor in Vancouver - a place with already 170 ESL institutions downtown, but still a need for more. Our foreign visitors are smart and they get bored easily too, so my being Caucasian and born and raised in Canada really helped as did my creative, unique teaching methods.

*Wrote, edited and published ESL Textbook - English: The Written Word - ©2010/2001.

*Established an ESL course curriculum, marketing strategies for course participation. Taught private course to small groups over five week training periods.

*Hired, train and delegated work to private tutors in Vancouver.

After time I realized working with students in Vancouver was not fun enough. I decide ESL should be fun, so I developed the ESL is Fun® training program concept combining ESL language lessons with tourism and travel excursions through British Columbia and Vancouver Island.

I would take my students on tours of the Vancouver and Lower Mainland hot spots including beaches, festivals, Canadian cultural events, hiking trails, tourism spots, good restaurants, camping, fireworks, sight-seeing, etc. During these excursions we held down the ENGLISH ONLY rule and our conversations forced each student to really work hard on pronunciation, listening and hearing skills.

During our lunch break, we would tackle a solid hour of course lesson material. We had a blast and everybody was exhausted at the end of each six-eight hour day.

The next and obvious step of evolution for my ESL business venture was to introduce an accommodation acquisition assistance program to the list of choices for my prospective students. Without giving away all the fine-print on how this worked, I will simply say:

*Established a small scale International ESL Student accommodation acquisition pilot project - 2002. It worked well and with a financial investment of $50,000, this project could easily yield $500,000 per year for the right business manager.

I still take on occasional students for conversation tutoring. My rates are reasonable and discounts are available for group sessions. I currently am considering recruiting a small group class to talk about film production and the life as a Hollywood producer. Sound like fun?
